We firmly believe in a positive recruiting process. How you hire is a direct reflection on your company values, culture and brand. A bad recruiting process can hurt your reputation and affect your chances of making the right hire in the future, ultimately affecting your ability to achieve your business goals. A positive recruiting process and building a positive, long term focused ‘employer brand’ is something we take very seriously. This week we welcomed three new members to our team in Malta and asked them to share their first-hand experience with our recruiting process. Here is what they said. I would like to share a story. I recently had a conversation with my friend, Jane. She recently started a new job but she already received interest from another company. Jane is apprehensive to switch. But the new opportunity is really intriguing. She is apprehensive to switch jobs because her resume is filled with a new job every 12 to 24 months. She hasn’t stayed at a single company for more than 2 years. Jane’s CV reflects that of a ‘job hopper’; someone who moves from company to company every year or two and has done it many times. Jane asked me my opinion, since I work at a recruitment company,

Not every campaign is an epic and runaway success. We try new things, sometimes they work, sometimes they don’t. As a study from University of Denver found, failure is a better teacher and businesses that fail often succeed in end. Recently we ran a marketing recruitment campaign asking university graduates to submit a video job application instead of a traditional CV. The thought behind this initiative was Millennials love technology and they are comfortable using it. So let’s create an application process that plays to their strengths. Ground breaking, right? Wrong. They didn’t care. We thought they would jump at the chance to be part of something new and different, maybe

Picture this: You just got an interview for your dream job. You prepped for the interview, did your research, picked out an outfit. You are all set and ready to rock it. Last month you went out partying, on Facebook a friend tagged you in a picture dancing on the bar holding a bottle of tequila. You don’t think anything of it. After the interview, you feel great and are confident you will get an offer. But a few days later you get a call from the hiring manager, “we really liked you but we don’t feel you are right fit for our company.” What went wrong?! According to a survey
